Krzysztof Fijalkowski has worked as a writer, translator, curator, artist and musician. He is a senior lecturer in Critical Studies, Norwich University College of the Arts and visiting lecturer in the School of World Art Studies, University of East Anglia, with a research and teaching focus on modern and contemporary art and design, and an interest above all in the cultures of international surrealism.
The text for this project aims to mirror Sir Thomas Browne's interweaving of philosophy, history, science and arcane knowledge around an imaginative configuration of the geography of Norwich, hoping to find echoes between Browne's writings in both the creative practice of the participating artists and the streets around and beyond King Street.
